In collaboration with RubiScape Pvt. Ltd., this center focuses on Data Science & Artificial Intelligence along with advanced technologies like Data Mining, Machine Learning,  and Graph Theory, equipping students with skills in high-demand fields of computer science and engineering.

Dr. Umbarkar is Coordinator for this COE.

Simens Energy

This COE involves setting up lab OF Siemens Energy Industrial Turbomachinery at WCE with providing working product models of Siemens Energy for educational purposes, which can significantly enhance the practical understanding of students in the energy sector. This initiative aligns perfectly with Siemens Energy’s commitment to contribute to the education field by offering resources that can help in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation.

The working models offered by Siemens Energy cover a wide array of energy technology, offering students a hands-on experience that can complement their classroom learning. With these resources, students can gain in-depth insights into the workings of Turbomachinery products, equipping them with the practical skills needed for their future careers.

Dr.. Ajeet Patil  is Coordinator for this COE.

Garuda Drones

The objective of this MOU is to combine and synergize the expertise of Garuda Aerospace to educational space. The scope includes to promote the Drone Ecosystem business as well as to facilitate discussion on the future cooperation to explore the possibility to cooperate with each other through the consideration of competitiveness and mutual interest. To provide opportunities to students an insight into the drone ecosystem; provide training to enhance their skills and knowledge, ultimately leading to employment and entrepreneurship. 

This collaboration will enrich the educational experience for students, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and experiences needed to succeed in the dynamic and rapidly growing field of drone technology. 

It will also benefit both parties by fostering talent development, driving innovation, and advancing the field of drone technology.

MoUs

WCE is working and collaborating with many academic, research institutions, association for collaborative work in academics, R&D and for industry partnerships 

BITS Pilani:

BITS Pilani is also referred to as Host institution and WCE, Sangli is referred to as Home institution. The scope of collaboration on academic and research activities in this Memorandum of Understanding includes the following categories:

  1. Academic and Research collaboration in areas of mutual interest. It is expected that this collaboration will, in due course, lead to collaborative research projects, joint workshops, seminars, etc.
  2. BITS Pilani allows students from home institute for project work, exchange of academic information, scholarly information, materials, and publications.
  3. Admission of WCE, Sangli students to a PhD programme at BITS Pilani as per the Host Institutions norms

CREDAI Sangli:

Department of Civil Engineering, Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli, and CREDAI, Sangli, have decided to cooperate in the fields of mutual interest and thereby conclude this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the 17th of April 2023 in order to enhance their research, consultancy, and training in the areas of Civil Engineering.

This will Strengthen the industry-institute interaction to provide high-quality and up-to-date technical support and value-added programs to engineering students, masons, contractors practicing on sites, working professionals, etc.

Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation herein after (PCERF):

Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli, Department of Civil Engineering, and PCERF, Pune, have decided to cooperate in the fields of mutual interest and thereby conclude this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the 10th of April 2024 in order to enhance their research, consultancy, and training in the areas of Civil Engineering.

MITCON:

MITCON and WCE  agree to contribute to the activities by performing its individual and joint roles and obligations. WCE and MITCON along with industries shall undertake following activities till the termination date of agreement.

  • Training and Internship activity – Both the parties cooperate and coordinate to arrange short term trainings and student internships to enhance experience in the field of engineering and its applicability to industries. The First party along with the Second party can organize and conduct need based training for the employees of industries as per consent and policies of First, Second Party and Industry.
  • Professional and Industrial training activity – First and Second parties undertake Professional and Industrial training as per consent and policies of First, Second Party and Industry for the employees of industries and faculties/Non-teaching of First party to enhance industrial and academic collaborations.

Government college of Engineering Karad:

The WCE Sangli and, GCEK mutually agree to work together for R&D and identify the various areas of interest and depute faculty on exchange basis up to six months or as per requirements for conducting courses or research in various semesters. Both the institutions will meet the TA/ DA of their respective faculty members visiting the other institution. The host institution will provide all boarding and lodging facilities to the visiting faculty.
